DESCRIPTION:Join Black Women Connect for our October Book Club as we come t
 ogether to discuss Score by Kennedy Ryan.\n\nThis month\, we lean into a p
 owerful\, emotional\, and deeply engaging story that explores love\, heali
 ng\, ambition\, and what it means to choose yourself while navigating rela
 tionships\, desire\, and personal growth.\n\nWe continue our in-person gat
 herings\, with a hybrid option available for those joining online. Join us
  in downtown Toronto at King and Peter Street for an evening of connection
 \, reflection\, and real conversation.\n\nAbout the Book\n\nScore is a sec
 ond-chance romance about Verity Hill\, a screenwriter\, and Wright “Monk
 ” Bellamy\, a musician\, who are reunited more than ten years after thei
 r college romance ended. They are forced back into each other’s lives wh
 ile working on a Harlem Renaissance biopic\, with Verity writing the scrip
 t and Monk composing the score. The book also includes themes of Black art
 \, mental health\, LGBTQ+ representation\, and historical figures such as 
 Gladys Bentley.\n\nWhat to Expect\n\nDuring our discussion\, we will explo
