Black Women Connect Monthly Book Club Meeting

Join Our Vibrant Reading Community!

Welcome to the Black Women Connect Monthly Book Club, a dynamic space where Black women across Canada come together to explore literature, share experiences, and build lasting connections. Our book club is more than just a reading group; it’s a platform for empowerment, cultural celebration, and personal growth.

Our Mission

At Black Women Connect, we believe in the power of literature to inform, empower, inspire, and enrich lives. Our mission is to bring Black women together who love to read fiction and nonfiction books written by authors of African descent. Through meaningful conversations and social interactions, we aim to foster a supportive and engaging community.

How It Works

  1. Monthly Selections: Each month, we select a book by a Black author from across the diaspora. Our selections span various genres, including fiction, non-fiction, memoirs etc.
  2. Engaging Discussions: We use the monthly book as a foundation to discuss our own lives as Black women. Our discussions are rich, reflective, and renewing.
  3. Meetings: Join us for our monthly meetings, which can be in-person or virtual, depending on your location and preference. Enjoy engaging discussions, listen to diverse perspectives, and connect with like-minded women.
  4. Social Events: Beyond book discussions, we host special events such as brunches, thematic gatherings, retreats, and dinners to foster deeper connections and community engagement.
