Join Black Women Connect for our first in-person gathering of 2026, set in one of Toronto’s most iconic cultural spaces, the Art Gallery of Ontario.

We’ll begin the afternoon with brunch at the AGO Bistro, followed by time to explore the galleries together at a relaxed, unhurried pace. This is an opportunity to reconnect in real life, share thoughtful conversation, and experience art collectively.

Our main focus will be Oluseye: Orí mi pé, a powerful exhibition that explores Yoruba spirituality, identity, memory, and self-knowledge. Through visual storytelling and symbolism, the exhibition invites reflection on lineage, inner wisdom, and the relationship between the spiritual and the everyday. It is an especially meaningful experience to take in together, grounded in shared dialogue and perspective.

After viewing the exhibition as a group, members are welcome to continue exploring the AGO independently. The gallery’s Impressionist and modernist collections offer additional space for curiosity, inspiration, and quiet wandering.

This gathering is designed to be easy, social, and culturally enriching. No agenda. No pressure. Just art, conversation, and community.

Come for the art. Stay for the conversation.
