Our mission at Black Women Connect is really quite simple-we want to impact the lives of Black women through social interaction, so that they might be happy, healthy and whole, and able to put that energy back into being their best selves.

We are not meant to do life alone.

Making new friends as an adult can be incredibly hard. In fact, that’s exactly how the idea for Black Women Connect came about! The members of Black Women Connect are here to make those first steps into making new connections easy.

Sisters in the City Events:

Through our Sisters in the City events, we curate and plan events and activities geared towards making new friends and engaging in new experiences from wine tasting, art to dinner, movies and performances and everything in-between. These are a mixture of free and paid events – we organize, you pay directly to the vendor or restaurant.  Thought our social events, we are determined to create a safe space for Black women, and change the narrative about how Black women interact with one another.

DineTogether Monthly Dinners

Our DineTogether dinners aren’t a luxury, they’re a necessity. By gathering together around a table, we create the opportunity to cultivate, collaborate, encourage, and build. To share new perspectives, and to learn from one another. Centered around building community and kinship between Black Women our monthly dinner series seeks to uplift and nourish while exploring different restaurants/foods and wines across Toronto.

BLACK WOMEN ARE THEIR STRONGEST WHEN IN COMMUNITY WITH EACH OTHER.
